The Day Surgery Centre is a one-stop facility where patients can be directly admitted, receive advice and treatment and be discharged with medications. Patients coming for procedures only need to arrive half an hour prior to the scheduled surgery time. This is made possible through the use of electronic patient medical records and scheduling system. Real-time information is also captured on the operating theatre dashboard system electronically to ensure the availability of timely updates.
On average, a surgery is completed in two hours and most patients may return home on the same day, minimising the need for hospitalisation. Patients also receive highly personalised and professional care for speedy post-operative recovery.
Our Facility
Spanning over 2200 sqm, the Day Surgery Centre is fully equipped with 6 operating rooms, 4 single private rooms, 7 private bays, 19 subsidised bays and 8 recovery bays. It is also equipped with state-of-the-art equipment that supports advanced surgical techniques such as key-hole incisions and better anaesthetics to facilitate faster recovery time for patients after procedures.
Patient safety is a key focus at the Day Surgery Centre. To ensure minimal risk of infection, hepa-air filtration systems ensure excellent air quality during procedures. Stringent tests for bacterial count, particle count and air exchange rates also ensure a safe environment for our patients.
