Medical Specialties

Eye/Ophthalmology And Visual Sciences

Our eye care specialists undergo extensive training to diagnose and manage a wide spectrum of vision disorders and eye conditions — from common issues such as cataracts and dry eye syndrome to complex conditions including glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, retinal detachment, macular degeneration, ocular trauma, and orbital disease.

To improve access to care, we operate a community eye clinic staffed by qualified optometrists. This clinic provides convenient, accessible eye care closer to where people live and work, reducing waiting times for services. It complements our specialist care by offering routine eye examinations, vision screenings, and management of common eye conditions.

Recognising the growing need for proactive eye care as Singapore’s population ages, we conduct regular community eye screenings and educational talks for both the public and healthcare professionals. Since 2005, we have led the annual Macular Diseases Awareness Week, a nationwide campaign promoting awareness of macular health and prevention.

Through these integrated clinical and community initiatives, we strive to provide accessible, comprehensive eye care while promoting lifelong vision health for all Singaporeans.
