What is TeleSOC?
TeleSOC is a remote consultation with your healthcare professionals. With the use of digital information and technology, our healthcare professional is able to deliver end- to- end experience remotely. TeleSOC can be done either by way of a video conference or a telephone call.
I am interested in TeleSOC. How do I sign up?
You may inform the healthcare professional during your in-person visit of your interest. The care team will assess if your condition is suitable for TeleSOC and instruct you further.
Can I get a medical certificate for TeleSOC?
Yes, simply inform the healthcare professional attending to you during the TeleSOC session that you require a medical certificate. The healthcare professional will verify your mobile number and a digital MC/ time chit will be sent via a URL link by way of SMS to your mobile number.
What platform are you using for TeleSOC?
Video consults will be conducted over the Zoom Cloud Meetings application, which is a secure online video conferencing platform approved by the Ministry of Health. Phone consults will be made directly to your mobile phone.
What device/equipment or software do I need to use this service?
For video consults, you will be required to download the Zoom app prior to your TeleSOC consult. Our room assistants/nurses will provide guidance on how to download Zoom on the day of your face-to-face consult. Alternatively, a guide on how to download Zoom can be

For phone consults, you will need to use a telecommunication device with a valid Singapore phone number.
What should I do if I get disconnected during the session?
For video consults, you may first try to re-enter the Zoom session by clicking on the Zoom meeting link stated in the SMS reminder. Do also have your mobile phone on standby as our room assistants/ nurses will call you to assist with troubleshooting of any issues.
Will the waiting time for TeleSOC be shorter than in-person consult?
There will be no waiting time at the pharmacy as you can opt for home delivery of medication. Additionally, you will be able to wait from the comfort of your homes for the commencement of the consult.
Can my family member attend the TeleSOC session with me?
Yes, you may share the Zoom link with your family members so that they can join the TeleSOC with you.
What are the charges for TeleSOC?
TeleSOC charges will be the same as that of an in-person charge, subject to patient’s eligible subsidies. You will be able to save time and money on travelling to the clinic.

Am I able to claim from MediSave or other healthcare subsidy scheme?
Until the deactivation of the Public Healthcare Preparedness Clinic (PHPC) or otherwise determined by MOH,
- MediSave use is allowed for video consultations for all 20 conditions under the Chronic Disease Management Programme (“CDMP”); and
- MediSave use is allowed for phone consultations for all conditions under the CDMP,
provided the phone consultation use case has been endorsed for subvention through the National Telehealth Implementation Workgroup.
Is the TeleSOC recorded?
The TeleSOC sessions will not be recorded. Please take note that patients should not capture screenshot or take photographs, video and audio recordings of the video or telephone consultation by any means without any prior agreement with Yishun Health.
Can I use the TeleSOC service if I am in another country?
We do not encourage TeleSOC for patients residing overseas as we do not provide medication delivery out of Singapore.
