Patient Journey

Our Services

Our dietitians provide advice on food and nutrition for an active lifestyle. They also give guidance to athletes on how to monitor their body fat level, the type of food to eat and the use of ergogenic aids and dietary supplements to optimise their energy, performance and recovery before, during and after competition.

Our team specialises in the assessment and rehabilitation of a variety of sports injuries. Based on the patient’s condition, our physiotherapists will design an individualised and staged management plan.

We also conduct a range of specialised classes for ligament injuries, both before and after surgery. These include strengthening, balance and agility exercises to improve stability and reactivity.

Our podiatrists manage sporting injuries of the lower limb, foot and ankle. We obtain the patient’s sports history and do a detailed biomechanical and gait assessment. Treatment could include identifying and educating on training errors, footwear advice, prescription of foot orthoses (insoles) to take strain off injured tissues and to optimise foot and lower limb functions.

We also conduct video gait analysis clinics, to identify faulty running patterns.

For more information, please check out Podiatry.

Acupuncture is used in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) to maintain good health and treat medical conditions by returning the body to its dynamic state of balance.

We use acupuncture to manage a wide variety of acute and chronic conditions. These include musculoskeletal pain, digestive problems, neurological conditions, stress-related disorders or simply, to maintain good health.

This is a non-invasive outpatient procedure that applies ultrasound-guided shock waves on the tissue to be treated. These include conditions such as :

  • Plantar fasciitis (inflammation of the tissue in the bottom of the foot)
  • Enthesiopathy (attachment of a tendon or ligament to a bone)
  • Tendinopathy (injury to a tendon from overuse or sudden stress) that commonly affects the joints, such as Achilles tendonitis (heel), patellar tendonitis (knee) and tennis elbow.

ESWT provides a non-invasive alternative to patients who do not respond to other non-surgical modalities of treatment.

An ultrasound guided injection enables a procedure to be shown in real-time so that the needle can be guided accurately to the specific site. This helps to improve outcomes and reduce the need for repeated treatment.

Ultrasound guided injections are available for joints, muscles, tendons, ligament and nerve conditions. We also use this to treat various back issues, frozen shoulder and ankle ligament instability.

Hyaluronic acid is used to relieve knee pain due to osteoarthritis and commonly used on patients who are unable to find pain relief with simple pain medication or exercise. It is usually given through an injection directly into the knee joint.

PRP therapy uses platelet to promote healing of injured tendons, ligaments, muscles and joints. It is a non-operative treatment that relieves pain by using natural means to aid in the healing of musculoskeletal conditions.

PRP therapy aims to speed up the body’s recovery and help patients to return to their daily activities faster.

We conduct physical examination and certification of athletes before they start training for competitions. Should there be any concerns, our multi-disciplinary team of sports physicians, orthopaedic surgeons, sports physiotherapists, podiatrists and nurses will assist with appropriate treatment.

A runner’s running pattern and technique may predispose or contribute to injuries.

In this clinic, we record and analyse your running gait or stride to identify factors that contribute to the development of an injury. We then formulate a treatment plan to enable you to run without pain or injury. We also offer advice on other aspects of running such as training load management, footwear and stretching and strengthening exercises.

Knee, shoulder, ankle and back injuries are some of the most common sports injuries . Our centre is fully equipped to treat all kinds of acute and chronic sports injuries. With our multi-disciplinary team of sports physicians, surgeons, physiotherapists, podiatrists, dieticians and acupuncturists, we offer a range of options to help our patients manage and recover from their injuries. These include diagnostic ultrasound to help define injury, as well as procedures such as shock wave therapy and ultrasound guided injections (including PRP) .

Our sports surgeons specialise in procedures such as ACL reconstruction (to replace the ligament that supports the knee), meniscus repair (to repair torn knee cartilage), shoulder stabilisation and ankle ligament repairs.
