A podiatrist is an allied health professional who works closely with various other healthcare providers to provide holistic management of lower limb conditions centred on the needs of our patients.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a referral?

Yes. You need to obtain a doctor’s referral letter from a private clinic or hospital, or any public healthcare institution.

What should I wear when I visit the Podiatry clinic?

  • Wear comfortable clothes that do not restrict your movements, to allow ease of assessment of your lower limbs (e.g. no tight or short skirts).
  • Wear comfortable footwear, in case wound dressing is required.
  • Bring your regular shoes for footwear assessment.

What happens if I have an infection or severe pain on my foot?

Please go to the Emergency Department to seek immediate medical attention.

What happens if I am late or cannot make it for my appointment?

A typical podiatry appointment takes 20 to 40 minutes. You are advised to come 10 to 15 minutes earlier for registration. If you are late, you may be asked to reschedule your appointment at the clinic counter. Please contact the Call Centre if you are running late or unable to keep your appointment.
