Orthopaedic Surgery
The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery in Khoo Teck Puat Hospital comprises a team of specialist surgeons and physicians who manage conditions of muscle, bones and joints. Established in 2010 with the opening of our hospital, founding members of the department included surgeons from the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery in Alexandra Hospital with a long history of managing Orthopaedic conditions.
Together with our team of physiotherapists, occupational therapists, podiatrist and other allied health professionals, we provide holistic and comprehensive management of your musculoskeletal conditions in a one-stop centre. From fractures to acute injuries and degenerative conditions, our aim is to help our patients recover so that they may return to an active lifestyle and resume normal activities, adding years of healthy life!

Hip Fracture Unit (HFU)
| We work with Geriatric Medicine specialists, nurses, physiotherapists and occupational therapists through our dedicated Hip Fracture Service to provide comprehensive, coordinated care for patients with hip fractures. This multidisciplinary approach helps patients achieve:
- Faster access to surgery
- Early mobilisation
- Early transfer to community hospital
- Lower surgical site infection

Total Knee Replacement (TKR) | We work with team members from Physiotherapy and Nursing through our Total Knee Replacement service to help patients recover quickly and regain mobility through:
- Pre-operative education sessions
- Early mobilisation and rehabilitation
- Advanced surgical techniques
- Coordinated discharge planning
