Hand Surgery Fellowship

The Hand Surgery Fellowship is Singapore Medical Council (SMC) approved and exposes the trainee to a wide range of general hand and reconstructive microsurgery in a busy public hospital. The Hand and Reconstructive Microsurgery (HRM) service is provided in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at KTPH.

Life Support Training at KTPH

Khoo Teck Puat Hospital is accredited by the Singapore Resuscitation and First Aid Council (SRFAC) as one of the Life Support Training Centres in Singapore. Following are the certifications available for enrolment at KTPH:

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) + Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
• Life Support Course for Nurses (LSCN)

Alexandra Academy for Clinical and Emergency Sonography (AACES)

AACES was formed by a group of physicians interested in point of care ultrasound in Alexandra Hospital. Since Feb 2008, AACES has successfully organized and conducted at least 20 point of care ultrasound courses in Singapore. With succinct lectures and a focus on hands-on training, these courses have been very well received, both in the country and the region. These are some of the previously held courses:

• CEURF Critical Care and Lung Ultrasound Course
• AACES Lower Limb MSK Ultrasound Course
• Echo Guided Resuscitation Course
