VOLUNTEERING

There is no substitute for hands-on training

BEST PART OF THE COURSE

No lecture about ultrasound training will beat the actual demonstration and training in scanning itself.

Over the years, our scanning volunteers have played a pivotal role in our aim to provide high quality ultrasound education. The hands-on training is consistently the highest rated component of our courses.

WE NEED YOU !

Yes, we need you as our scanning volunteer! Whether you are young or old, whether you have normal anatomy or otherwise. Our courses cover a wide range of organ systems, such as the heart, lung, blood vessels, liver, kidney, gallbladder, muscles and joints. All of you are welcomed!

During the scanning session, one of our instructors will guide a maximum of 4 trainees in ultrasound scanning. Each rotation takes around 30mins; the number of rotations varies according to the courses.

Your privacy and comfort is important to us. A limited exposure is necessary for scanning; but we will ensure that this is kept to the minimum, and there will be enough blankets to keep you warm. If you chooses to, you can also bring someone along during the session.

WHAT IS PROVIDED

Light refreshments are provided during the course. And as a token of our appreciation, we provide a fixed reimbursement for your transport to our Academy.

If you are a medical student or a healthcare worker, and are interested to sit in the lectures, you can do so entire free of charge as our scanning volunteer.

Note that we do not provide reports of your scan itself – however, if we found anything unexpected that you are unaware of, we could give a note to your doctor at your request.
