Chronic Pain Services

Our goals for our chronic pain patients are to help them alleviate and manage their chronic pain, restore function and quality of their lives. We strongly believe in the bio-psycho-social approach in managing chronic pain and often work hand in hand with the Physiotherapy and Sports Medicine departments to help patients cope and improve their function. Patients are monitored regularly for effectiveness of analgesic regime with proper adjustments as necessary.

We treat patients presented to us with the following conditions:

• Chronic lower back pain
• Neuropathic pain conditions
• Muscular pain
• Chronic post-surgical pain
• Complex regional pain syndromes

In some instances, oral medications alone may not be sufficient and the use of pain intervention procedures (targeted injections to the painful area) can be considered. Our team is skilled in both ultrasound and fluoroscopy guided pain intervention techniques.
