The NHG Senior Residency Program in Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine is a 3 year program offering a comprehensive training curriculum set up in adherence to ACGME guidelines and requirements of the RAC. Trainees will be rotated to both KTPH (2 years) and TTSH (1year) for training in general respiratory medicine, critical care medicine, pulmonary function and sleep medicine. The trainees will also have elective rotations which provide them with opportunities for in depth training and exposure to certain sub-specialty of their choice such as intervention bronchology, pleural diseases, airway allergy and pulmonary function.

During the third year of the program, there will be a 2 month rotation to the Tuberculosis Control Unit (TBCU) of Singapore and the TB STEPP Registry so that trainees will get adequate training in management of complicated TB as well as the public health aspects of TB management which includes surveillance and contact tracing. Trainees will also be given opportunities for clinical research under the supervision of the faculty.
