EXPLORE KTPH

Reducing Carbon Footprint

KTPH is firmly grounded in its green and energy efficient design. We harness clean and renewable energy through solar energy systems to help offset our carbon footprint. Solar panels are used to convert solar energy directly into electricity, while a solar thermal system produces hot water for the hospital’s needs.

With these initiatives, KTPH is able to increase energy efficiency by up to 30% compared to present hospitals.

Water from Yishun Pond is channeled to the hospital’s irrigation systems and treated before it is used for landscaping needs. When it rains, sensors will regulate this water source to prevent wastage.

For our effort towards ensuring environmental sustainability, KTPH has been awarded the Building and Construction Authority (BCA) Green Mark Platinum Award.
