The growing field includes macular pigmentary disease, diabetic retinopathy, macular pigment in subjects with high myopia, cognitive impairment and age related macular degeneration. With the help of supplementary grant, the OVS team has also acquired the necessary equipment to setup another study subject recruitment centre at the Jurong Medical Centre.
- Dr Benjamin Chang’s research interests include childhood eye conditions and refractive errors.
- Dr Kumari Neelam is interested in the putative protective role of macular carotenoids in retinal diseases, particularly age-related macular degeneration.
